Our large double rooms and superior garden view rooms are more like mini suites, spacious, high ceiling light rooms with soft seating areas, coffee tables and we leave wine glasses in the rooms because we know staying away is a treat sometimes.

The Water Rat B&B is a great place for a short ‘reset’ break. Check into your room, leave your car in our free car parking and walk down through our gardens to the river and then follow the path into Ironbridge. Enjoy the town, its famous Bridge, shops, sights and history; visit our sister Pub, the White Hart for a light lunch or coffee.  Feeling a little more adventurous, then visit any of the 10 museums that make up the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust- the highlight is the Victorian working village, Blists Hill.

Or use Pub as a base to explore Shropshire; ten minutes drive will take you to medieval Much Wenlock, the impressive remains of Wroxeter Roman City or the market town of Bridgnorth – home to The Severn Valley Railway.  Just a little further afield, discover Long Mynd, Ludlow, Shrewsbury and a host of National Trust and English Heritage properties.

Eat with us in the evening, or at Number Ten our rosette awarded restaurant at the White Hart, or at any one of the many pub restaurants in and around Ironbridge.
